    What would you do?

    Right.
I'm not asking for individual input per se, but my situation is thus and maybe someone has an inkling of a thought I haven't come across myself:

When I started to play WoW (day of release) I had no job but I was looking for one. About a month ago I got a job (Yay!) and started working 3-4 days a week, playing WoW on my days off. Now I've been going in for the full 5 days for the past few weeks and to put it bluntly, I just can't be arsed to play the game at night. I've had to become an 'early to bed early to rise' kind of person. Okay, so I thought I'd dedicate myself to playing it some on the weekends, social life permitting.

The problem is I don't have much of a drive to play anymore. Am I bored? Perhaps... but I think it's more a time issue thing. I have less time to waste playing something entertaining. While WoW IS fun... it only seems to be that way if there is anyone around worth playing with or chatting to.... for HOURS ON END. These are examples of the thoughts that spring to mind when I log on:

Hmm okay I could farm teddy bears (Timbermaw faction). .......... Meh.
I'll help out in Strat...... uh oh, pick-up group. Prepare to wait 2-3 hours in between joining and actually entering the instance.
Make mooncloth? Wait, no felcloth left... that means........ farming... -___-
    Dance naked on the mailbox?

You get the point. And for those of you who fail to see it, basically wasting my free time playing WoW is not making me happy on the week-end. I spend most of my time making bags or something for other people, then log off and do something with more instant gratification (Begone, ye dirty minds! )

Maybe it's time to take a little break... but I thought I was doing that already! RL has always been my main priority and I'm applying for another job that will cut my free time even more. So, should I just quit for now?

Sorry for my whine (is it whine?). All is not lost, though... for I bring you gifts of cheese, too!

Thanks for reading. I will make up my mind sooner or later... this babble is just to keep the off topic forum active, of course!

    Well,

I would say, under the good old mantra of star wars, search your feelings.

I would guess that WoW was fulfilling what was lacking when you lacked work, I.E. the work aspect in WoW, and now you have a job to fulfill that desire, you no longer need WoW.

I dunno, its just theorising on my part.

I would definitely take a break in this situation.

I experienced a similar thing back when I played Lineage 2.
After having played for about half a year I came to a point where I couldn't be arsed to do anything in-game and I would log out almost instantly when I logged on. I was really losing my desire to play the game.

Then fate/luck would have it that I was going on a 14 days vacation to Scotland with no chance of playing and I even stayed away from the website/forums. It was 14 Lineage-free days and I loved it.

When I got back home I waited a couple of days before playing again and when I did I could feel the difference, the game was no longer a boring chore.

So I can only recommend taking a complete break from the game including forums (I know it will be difficult for you Eu )

    It definitely worked for me

Thanks for the replies You've all pretty much confirmed what I was feeling and I do think that yes, it is time for a break!

I know that feeling too. Log on...hmm mail lets check that. Outbit on runecloth, Outbit on runecloth, Outbit on runecloth, Outbit on runecloth. Not good. Well check the AH for more runecloth.

/w whisper: wanna join on strat.? Me "UD or SM". He "I don't know let me check"....wait; Baron run. Anyhow, I join cuz I'm allready bored. Then it takes us another 50 min to get to the instances. Still need 2 extra players. No lock to summon....etc.
Finally after a succesfull run no drops for me at all. 1,6g repairs. Well I did make 6 runecloth inside

Nowadays it just head out to WG and chat with friends when I'm in the queue for about 30 min

Maybe I'm going to play with my alt's. But that actually the same all over again.

I found out that making an alt in the opposing faction helps. That's a different start at least.

Though basically for me the game has become just a nice backdrop to extensive chatting with a few very good friends and a bunch of great guys with a twisted sense of humour, that is, guild

I don't think your the only one to feel like this! i think quite a few of us who hit 60 are feeling bored! its too much hassle trying to get a raid grp some nights and theres no quests to do as such without being in a 5 man or raid grp! The only thing left to do is farm which i find mind numbing!

I've done what Aries suggested - made an alt and I seeing the game from a different view has renewed it slightly!

I've also ventured into battlegrounds and have had fun in there.

I also think that maybe some time off would help - I had 2 weeks off in May for hols and that also helped!

I miss my favourite priest :(

But yeah a break should be the better solution to bring you back the enjoyment to play And I'm sure the great weather outside is reason enough to work on your tan ^^
