Just wondering and was hoping to get some insight from the hordies on this server.
Which class do you feel the horde suffers the biggest shortage of?
I myself made a priest alt as I believe them to be in constant short supply and maybe could help out with some of the endgame stuff when he hits 60 :)
But would like to hear what the horde think they really need more of.

Mages. Horde need more mages.

Horde need paladins :P
Yeah, we also like someone to bubble up and HS out. :)
Naah, sorry about that.
But truth is, we don't want pallies, if we did we would play alliance.
Mages and priests are what the horde needs atm, or that's my opinion based on the general LF announcements in orgri.

Warriors that don't join instance groups with bows and a 2-hander and expect to tank. Priests that arent in shadow form. Mages that dont attempt to out-do the warlocks on the damage meter. Warlocks that dont try to outdo the mages on the damage meter. Rogues that dont try to stealth past pairs of level 63 Molten Giants. Shamen that dont try to claim +crit armour so they can melee a 200 crit, Druids with more than 1 button on their interface, and hunters that dont shoot first, pet later. Thats what the Horde need more of.

Indeed the spell casters do need to be a bit more aggrowise.
The same goes for the Hunters.
That said my only other comment is this...
the plural of Shaman is Shaman... there is nothing in this world thats named Shamen =)
Oh one FINAL comment... Hunters is the ones that shouldn't get crit gear (except for PvP matters that is).
Because really... Hunters should isntead go for a substained really high DPS, not crits. Aggropulling Hunters are just as bad as aggropulling mages/warlocks/rogues =) Get high end attack power items instead.
Over time and in instances they'll help you more, and cause less wipes.
Have had a level 60 hunter for quite some time, so ain't a complete n00b on the area ;)
Swan, you mentioned rogues that shouldnt try to stealth past lvl 63 molten giants, just to be a pain, a rogue with 5 points in MOD can stealth past them with no trouble :)

Actually, the crits are a great deal of the amount of damage we produce. I'd suck at damage if I didn't have my crits. 250-300 damage every 2.2 seconds wont make anyone happy. Better then to have every fifth hit for 800ish.
DM gear with crits have roughly the same ranged attack power as beaststalker, but with 3-4 % more crits. IMHO, beaststalker sucks. Then again, I'm not using DM stuff anymore in mc, I like my black dragonscale suit. Just wish there was a black dragonscale helmet - the backwood helm is sooo ugly.
And, with feign death, we shouldnt ever pull aggro. It's just that.. some hunters need to fd more often, and wait longer for aggro buildup :p (no names)
Important note: Feign before you pull aggro, not after! You need to stay awake and realize that if you just crit three times in a row, you must fd (or stop shooting if fd's resisted).

Hehe...wise words indeed Cor. Like yourself Ive had a hunter for some time ( =] ) and in Molten Core i AM the puller so i do indeed have to get a serious ammount of aggro some times =p. ANd secondly...what was that 90's group that had a hit with Love, Sex , Intelligence?? was it The Shamen ??
but bleh... anyways. Glad people agree that we're fairly lacking in instance trained people and people that are willing to be trained in instancing. it took me a total of 3 months or so to level SV to 60, and i spent a lot of time betwen 45 and 55 screwing around, getting into trouble, getting other people into trouble, and generally finding our the 'tricks of the trade'. Seems now people are levelling to 60 a lot quicker, ergo, not learning the skills and capabilities of the classes fully. no way you can do anything about this really, as its a game that people can play their own way and in their own time. just have to be careful with whom you instance i guess.
i admit from the beginning leveling pretty fast until around 45 or so when i wanted to find out a tanks job in instances.......first rule i was told was"no 2 handers allowed tanking!!!" and havent forgot it since
few days had a warrior that used a 2h for main tanking, priest in shadow, hunter with no pet or freezes and a rogue that forgot to buy poisons..wow

Sounds like what you're saying is you need more competent players of every class :)
I always think players fall into five categories:
EXCEPTIONAL players are masters of the classes they play. These are the warriors who flawlessly hold aggro on whole groups of mobs, the healers who pull you through when you're sure you're going to wipe. They are rare. Treasure them.
COMPETENT players know how to play their class and can do as well as you'd expect. Warriors who own a shield and know what defensive stance is (and also when it's safe to go on the offensive). Mages and rogues who can do good damage without pulling aggro off the main tank. They may never make the jump to exceptional, but a raid full of these guys won't go far wrong.
UNTRAINED players don't play their class well yet, through lack of experience grouping. Warriors in berserk stance with a two hander when tanking, rogues who go balls to the wall for damage, priests in shadow form. They're all using the tactics that work solo, and haven't realised that group play is different. Explain to them what they need to do in a group and why, and they should become Competent in short order. You might get a wipe or two as you rtealise they need some coaching, but give them some advice (instead of screaming OMG!!! N00BZ0R!!!) and they improve fast.
INCOMPETENT players are like untrained players but they can't or won't learn. There might be a real language problem, they might be children with bad attitudes or authority issues... or some people just aren't very good at certain things. Whatever the reason, make a note of their names and avoid grouping with them unless you like some extra challenge to your instance runs.
EVIL players are just pure poison. These are the ninja looters, the griefers and the troublemakers. Doesn't really how skilled they are, these people you do not want in your group. Or on your server. Or, for that matter, breathing oxygen in real life in some cases...
Given the numbers imbalance, I'd say the Horde probably needs all the Exceptional, Competent and Untrained players it can get at the moment, of any class. For what it's worth, I rate myself as a solid Competent and am currently levelling a shaman alt whenever I get frustrated with the number of Incompetents on the Alliance side - so he's going up the levels pretty fast :P

oh, ive also found another category of player...mainly from duelling as it goes...
ROUTINE PLAYER: these players have buttons set up on their interfaces from 1-10 in an order that they press them. they do it every single time and if something happens that they didnt plan for they keep on going regardless. esp dangerous players in instances as they have no sense of adaptation and counter tactic on the spur of the moment. they dont care about their class definition or capabilities but only wehat they have spent 20+ days doing repeatedly. classes include: druids, paladins and hunters

Think that's a sub-class of Incompetent... or maybe a Bot :) Either way, don't think you want those either!
Oh, and not currently planning on full Restoration for my shaman, but will be a resto heavy build (see http://dragonblight.gany.net/showthread.php?p=19618#post19618 ) Still early days, just about to hit lvl 27 when I turn in a quest, so I've room to change my mind yet!

IMO, druids give so many possibilities. You just gotta know when to use them.
Many people think cat form sucks. And yeah, vs several mobs/hardhitting mobs, bearform is better.
However, when you are up agains easily killed single mobs, catform rule. And when I say that I mean: cat kill faster than bear. At least that's my experience. It's possible it has to do with my gear or the way I play.
Why am I talking about this in here? Well... druids are underestimated and there's way too few of us. We can heal, we can tank AND with the new patch, we can dps. (I've critted for 1100 in catform. Before patch... Though the white dps sucks. >_<)
Anyway: WE NEED MORE DRUIDS!! :P

I agree about cat form :) people under estimate it far to much. Although i dont have the right gear for it, id rather use use cat over bear any day as its just far more fun and quicker :D

the sucky thing about catform is that its just bear without the armor. atm.
but ive seen too many 60 druids lately. and too many 60s youve never heard of.
meh, ill go with mages.

That's true. Hence my quote "...when you are up agains easily killed single mobs..."
Let's hope that changes with the new patch. Hmm? :)
And the 60's you've never heard of. Many of them is probably from the char transfer, don't you think? :P
