Weapons for teh uber pallys?

Well as some of you know I got the ol Obsidian Edged Blade, a while a back. And it is a dream for pvp. If I’m lucky, I can do some serious damage. "procs/crits" needed of course.

But I was wondering what other people dream about having one day. Is it still the fantasy to own a Frinkel’s lava dredger?

Or maybe you haven't set your hopes so high and are planning for an Earthshaker. The stun effect might be enough to give you the edge over that imbal shaman :D

Or maybe you’ll like nuadia, and want the Aurastone hammer so you can continue healing that little bit better where the holy spec fails to.(poking fun intended, and yes i know you already have it ;) )

or maybe its some crazy weapon like Quel' Serra which every warrior will drool over and calm it’s a waste on you because they are jealous.

Or maybe it’s even some uber, I don’t know, some craftable weapon, like Sulfuron Hammer, and then can be upgraded to the Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.

But what ever it is. Just be thankful that you are a paladin. You're not some warrior that has the biggest repair bill in history. You're not a rogue who dies in the first few minutes of a battle. You're not a mage handing out water to 20 people.

You are a warrior of the light. A holy warrior! Now brb while I cleanse my group and rebuff ;)

Honestly, the dps, the stamina and the intellect buff, just suit perfect for me.
But, its damn hard to get :P

Hmm well for MC and stuff I guess anything is good as long as it has +heal on it. Got nothing much to do but cleanse/heal/buff anywas.
I hardly ever pvp so no wet dreams there, and in PvE, oh well after 60 I haven't done much there either ;) (Play my new toons mainly)

I think that I dream more about something other to do as a pally than cleanse and buff, than dream about some uebah weapon.

(Though I have to admit that Quel'Serrar looks good ;) )

Only MC/BWL/Onxyia you must buff and heal. Other instances you can say screw it and do damage. Good weapon helps towards it. Also crit gear will mean you destroy most things with a few sexy melee/ SoC crits.

Of course very boring in MC/BWL/Onxyia but if blizzard ever get round to doing something about the insane short buff times. It wouldn't be so bad for many people. Most paladins i know from our raid don't have a problem with healing. Nuadia loves it. (weirdo) But yeah, buffs are the only problem i see.


Healing isn't very fun, thats why most priests reroll. Everyone wants to do damage in some form, be it up close, or ranged. Weapons help.

Our new spell also crits very well. So killing blows are atleast 1k, 1/3.

Isn't that some extra damage because its holy damage vs an undead?(not sure how pala works but more think you'll see crits of 1K against normal players)

These were just tests. I am unable to get on test realms myself (even though i've download, got 2 characters on it).

But i had 3 screen 2 shots, 2 were undead yes. Other was humaniod.

Our guild having done 3 MC bosses so far my sort of realistic hopes are the Earthshaker* or the Obsidian Edged Blade.
*Knocking down all nearby horde must be sooo fun :p
My current pvp weapon (Malown's Slam) has a 'knocks silly' effect and when it does it I really appreciate it.

hehe. That is an amazing Axe mo doubt. I think the warriors in our raid would start crying if a paladin won it though. Not that they really use 2h but still;)

depends on for what i need it. In MC i would always go for aurastone and malister´s defender(stil some time to we kill ragnaros :( ).

But if it is PvP, then earthshaker is damn nice (even for solo, if it proc = free heal time). and it looks damn funny when taurens runs and get knockdown from it :P

But hey i have both. so why dream? :P (hoping for some nice i BWL :S). Next weapon i want is Sulfuras

And one thing, IMO lava dredger is that worste weapon out there, sucks for pvp (it is to fast and has to low max damage for SoC(which is the many damage spell for all 2h palas)). it is ok for MC, but aurastone/mageblade and a INT shield is better

Tis a pally weapon. I would buy this with dkp, when it drops. =) Not many warriors in our raid with more dkp than a paladin, infact none :p

As a representative of the cookie-cutting, Arms/Fury clone-o-warriors, I wants me weapons as deathly sloooooooooow as I can get. :D This makes the damager per swing higher (same DPS - slow weapons hit harder than faster ones, but less frequently).

Then I tap me Mortal Strike/Whirlwind/Overpower/slam button, and get all that luvverly damage instantly on top o' me normal swings. :badgrin:

maybe one the coolest looking hard hitting weapons ever :P (hand of ragnaros is boring art)

with good attack power(i mean high, so just shh tib), this hits harder then spinal reaper, becaus of it´s slow speed. 0,4 means ALOT for damage

abd for healing in MC i would rather have http://www.thottbot.com/?i=51752 then aurastone, becaus of the +healing and +crit (+crit is often more mana regen the 5 mana every 5 sec for a pala)

And yeah nuadia..that sword looks pretty cool. "Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds". Too bad everyone will want it.


Though, i don't mind at this point in time. Weapons were sorted for me a long time ago. I do however need better armour.
