Ok, so I installed the Cosmos UI, now I need help to remove it again, I've deleted the interface folder but my item bags are very screwed up, I'd hate to have to reinstall just because of that.
so could anybody please let me know how to completely get rid of it or get another mod that will fix my bags.
In the World Of Warcraft folder, go into /WTF/Account/<accountname>/<character's name>... and delete the layout-cache.txt file (you can delete the other one too, this will just reset the settings on your chatboxes if you want to)
Hope that helps.

I just reinstalled the game.
The problem was that the "boxes" you put items into in the bags were where they were supposed to be, but the bags themselves where overlapping and just generally screwed. should have taken a screenie.
So I can only advice people to NOT use Cosmos UI.

Cosmo however is a pretty handy UI. I don't ever enable it because it does have backpack and bag problems which clearly need to be addressed. But back in the day i used it to put locations and such into.

The only reason I keep Cosmos enabled, is for the map co-ordinates, apart from that it sucks with its errors and random glitches

Works just fine, no cosmos, sea, sky, libram or enything required.
I just Cosmos for the same reason til I found this addon and now cosmos is ancient history. Cosmos is so not worth the hassle.

Thanks Patris, much appreciated :)
*cough* CT Mod (Http://www.ctmod.net) *cough*
incidentally theres a CTRA update
Changes from 1.08 to 1.09:
* Reworked display code from scratch, CTRA should now cause a much lower FPS loss.
* CT_RaidAssist options window is now movable by unlocking it via the main page.
* A Resurrection Monitor has been added. If a person who can res is using 1.09+, the Resurrection Monitor will show who they are targeting for a res. The monitor can be opened via the button on the Misc. options page.
* In addition, someone who has already had res cast on them will have their ctra window show 'Resurrected'.
* Prayer of Fortitude has been combined with Power Word: Fortitude in the buff list.
* Gift of the Wild has been combined with Mark of the wild in the buff list.
* Arcane Brilliance has been combined with Arcane Intellect in the buff list.
* Blessing of Sanctuary has been added.
* The channel options have been modified. When a channel is broadcasted now, it will autojoin everyone using CTRA to the correct channel, and leave their previously set channel. Setting your channel manually to a new channel will auto join that channel, and leave your previous one as well.
* The option to leave the CTRA channel when leaving a raid has also been added.
* Added a more useful /raidinfo display to show when raid zones reset.
joy!

In short, as Im at work and cant check it out really, is CT a Cosmos that works?
CT is godly :)
Interface [mine] looks like this when i'm dead

Comes with various options and statsical info.
Best thing to to install it and give it ago, CtRaidAssist is a given nowdays in raid situations, although some people still don't have it which continues to amaze me :)
this Pic shows my Raidassist setup
i have the two main tanks on the right of my screen next to the other group window

Is it better to get the whole lot, or just certian bits? (CT Mod).

Never really tired Cosmos, heard to many bad things although my mates swear by it, i've never once had to re-install WoW for any reason (they have countless times, though its never Cosmos's fault of course.... :P)
I'm using the full package, some people mix and match packs together but i find that CT does rpetty much everythign i need.
the only other thigns i've got installed are 'SmartPet' 'TrackerAssist' and PetFeed/PetDefend

i recently switched to Titan for the coordinates. Very sweet topbar added to your screen displaying various stats (including the coords and loc where you at, so you dont have to switch to your map each time to see if you are near)
unfort curse-gaming is not available right now.
but on worldofwar.net they seem to have it too

Well deleted Cosmos, and put on Ctmod last night. Nice and simple but there are 3 things Im missing, and I was wondering if these are available in the extras.
1. ability to put numbers or % on pet and mob health and mana bars
2. number/% on xp bar
3. Cosmos clock stats, Xp/hour G/hour X/session etc.
If these are available on ct then can you let me knoe the name of the addon
Thankyou :D

yay \o/
1. ability to put numbers or % on pet and mob health and mana bars
For mob, look on the...Misc tab, for 'Target Stats' gives you a cycle through set of options, also can put up the targets class.
For Pet, go into Interface Setup on the main window and turn on 'Status text'
2. number/% on xp bar
Status text give syou values, no % in CT
3. Cosmos clock stats, Xp/hour G/hour X/session etc.
No CT option for this i'm afraid, Telo's used to do this but it stopped working for me. The flash 'top' bar might have it tho, i'll have to check.

I have noticed a UI addon in many WoW videos which has an info bar along the top showing FPS and Ram used etc... also it shows buffs and debuffs bigger and time left. Finally and damage you take (in numbers) appear by your head instead of your portrait! Anyone have any idea what this Ui is or is it an addon for CT I missed?

the dmg appearing above your portrait is part of cosmos (dont know if another ui addon has it), same goes for the debuff thingy. it contantly shows all (de)buffs of your party membes instead of haveing to mouseover

Thank you Magian, helpful as always :) By any chance did you notice me chasing you in IF this weekend? It was a Gank, but I never got any dmg on you though, I dont think. It was just as you were running into IF with a tauren friend of yours? :P

I run the best of both. I won't give up my Cosmos, but mainly because of one old feature: SecondBar. Why? Well, this is the only mod (I found so far) where I can 'keybind' the secondbar (the one over the mainbar). My setup is perhaps uncommon as I assigned [F1]-[F12] to the second bar. I hate this switch mainbar feature, really I do! The rest features are more in the background like Selfcast, Clock, Move every entity (bags, bars, etc) ...
I run a mixture so: Cosmos (http://www.cosmosui.org/), CTmod (http://www.ctmod.net) (CTRaidAssist!) and Titan (like it too...)

i like the 2 row(or more) seccond bar, with indeed the keybindings (since warlocks are always short on slots :) )

shardtracker that is, i am stuill doubting IF i should try necrosis... should i?Not having tried ST, I can't give you a good answer to that question. All I can say I love Necrosis. I think most of the features of both addons are quite similar. With Necrosis you have all your summoning+enslaving and stone-making buttons in one neat bubble, it gives you timers of your current debuffs+soulstone, various pet controlling options, optional auto-request for pet healing (handy when you're in a party with a healer and the tank's your doggie) etc. etc. A funny feature is the provided ability to "speak" demonic
And i am thinking about pet-leash so the pets dont follow feared mobs all the way arroundAs I kinda like it the hard way some times (don't ask me why :D), I'm most usually controlling my pets manually :D
