Well. We met as agreed. Got the raid together.
Things looked like it could work.

Then the que fked us over. Couldn't manage to enter.

Thanks to Sonter for getting the alliance together... =)

In the end we had to split up and just join piecemeal...
and what I feared happened.. third of the the 40 people was just random people. But I was determined to be of good hope....

So got stuff together and tried to get the center.
Worked somewhat... had the highground on the centerplace....
Until someone thought it would be a good idea to just jump on Kazzac and draw him into our crowd. Even if it had been said not too.

That was the start of the end.
It turned out a third of the random players was indeed people of less then greatest tactical sence. I applaud the rest of you though. You did great.

I thank all who met up. A lot of great players took part of AV. And most of you I was proud of being there with.

But sadly 2 overly eager ones, one dumbass, and two whiners made it less then fun at times....

Together 3 out of 4 managed to make it overall a very hard thing to get organised. Either because deciding that doing their own thing was the only right to do, or because they where just too upbeat to actually think before acting. So all in all I must say the Alliance won this round.

Got a few waves and such done. You scum still killed me though.

Only at a few times did I fight... otherwise I didnt' fight much back =)

Learned a good several things to take back and reflect over.
And I also did a decision why I go for being an organiser and not a leader.
I just get too fast fed up with some people.

I had at start a good time. Was great to try at least. Hope it wasn't too bad for you others either (with a few minor bumps).

Kudos to some of you for extraordinary actions =)

Well... in the end I guess I just have to blaim myself.
I knew what I wanted. I wanted a raid with good people.
In the end I let us brake down and join as just a bunch.
So I can't blaim anyone but myself. Oh well.

If I can be bothered to gather people together anytime soon at all....
it must be with a joint session with maybe two other guilds, pluss a few especially invited. A few bad apples can just be of too great a harm.

Hmm... its a rant I know =) But just jotting down my thoughts here =)

Wish there was tickeded BGs. That way it could be limited... I'd rather have only 30 people I really counted on... then 33 I counted on, 4 I wasn't sure about and 3 that does a lot more harm then good.

Having thought it over... the initial plans for the raid was and is still sound. And so is the "timeframe" of when things should be done.

But we need to be better at working together. Was hard getting things done when there are several who don't even answer Whispers

*ponders*
I guess I'm somewhat frustrated. And in being so I did on raid chat state that there was a tad to few apes with us. Probably shouldn't... as some probably thought I talked about them. And almost all with us was good really... if a bit disorganised.

As Hoth stated, the major problem we faced was being too slow in acting... from seeing something... getting message accorss.. then getting it acted on... just too long.

Sorry to all for not getting it done better. I guess since its probably will be the one and only time I've tried to lead some of you, you'll have a crappy memory of my capabilties forever =) Oh well =)

I wish those who'll contiue with the project good luck. With having started it, maybe AV can live on its own now, without me and my guild making a frame for the Horde to lean on.
I really hope things will work good for you.

Thanks again to the alliance who showed up.
Was bit boring with having like 18 paladins running around. Crappy class =)

Hope to meet up with you soon again Sonter. Maybe do some more signing with you.. was a bit late on things today (had to go enter the que)... and when I finally came to look you up.. we entered =)

Gave you a wave poag... but you died right after...
And only onther time I met you... I had killed you before seeing it was you ;)

Santdrax... you came killing me... I let you hack a bit.. waved... saw you disapere.... then when you got back I tried to /laugh but didn't manage to as you killed me just as I was to press Enter. Oh well....
At least I got you a free kill ;)

And for the alliance I fail to mention... its probably for a reason! ;)

On our side, I was to give a special thanks to group 1,2,3 and 8
Was individuals in each of the other groups too who was good.
Special wave goes to Menz. To two of you...don't expect a personal invitation anytime soon =)

Thank you all for the evening.
And see you around.

XOXOXO
Corw

I don't know about groups 1, 2 and 3 but group 8 was a voicecomms using guild group (my guild ;) ) and thus were organised, stuck together and followed orders.

Other groups, well, what can be said. Apart from remembering Sildiara's name from this very forum, I didn't know any of them from before. No one stuck together, and reaction times to orders were sluggish because of that, rather than from the time it took to put orders accross.

A great shame many people for whatever reason can't be bothered to stick with their group and be a team player for the raid overall.

Perhaps next time we can have 10 minutes peace time for each other to reassemble our raids. ;)

But I wouldn't get down Corwyx, you worked with what you had, and put up a good fight.

I thought the horde did rather well. The alliance however was a mess, with atleast 20 people doing there own thing and not in the main raid.

The was my only problem with the evening. I thought both sides were doing rather well - the horde having the upper hand until we finally pushed you off snowfall hill.

It was late by this time and a few horde started to leave followed by the rest.

I enjoyed it however - its been a long time since i've played AV - at least 2 weeks.

Think in all we ended up killing Kazzac around 3 imes. 1 time we needed to. The next was a failed attempt to kill the horde  . Still it surprises me how many people want to do it again and again and again.

Thx all and especialy corwyx!

To bad the queue didn't work with a whole raid party in the queue > it sucked! After spliting up in several groups everything was disorganized.
Still managed to get the main group together tho.

Group 2 was nice but allways one character that didn't listen or didn't read the /p chat. That really wasn't good...so we did a 4 man job taking the mines and after that the supplies. We missed out al lot of the front line action, but it was our assignment so we sticked to the plan. Only I didn't know if we had any advantage from the supplies??? Thought we deliverd tons of it, but still it wasn't enough?!

So Corwyx, don't give up - we're all getting more experience so eventualy horde will go ftw!!

Aye. Responces were sluggish. I had a good group, they did what was expected of them (kudos). However, our sluggishness was noticeable on all our attempts on that bunker. On one point we almost had it, but alliance flooded us, and it seemed like our guys didnt manage to come back in time.
The moment alliance was busy killing korrak we had virtually free game on taking the bunker. Too bad our warrior charged in and created massguard spawn, then the other group wasnt there, or we were too slow. This can only be blamed on the lack of the teamplay. Obviously, teamplay isnt really there when you play together with people you meet for the first time. It was a good experience and ive learned out it.
Further on, im pissed at the stupid queu system, which didnt allow our raid to join the instance. Instead, randoms fucked up our nice raid. A true pity.
A good solution may be to have a full raid organised in fe UC or TM, and please dont draw attention from randoms (be they unknown or someone his guildmate, we dont need them). And be sure that both Alliance and Horde have their groups assembled at the time we agreed on. It was sad we had to break our raid apart, have groups reassembled, then land in some chaos upon entering AV.
Good fights anyway. And Poag, you dropped a Sleaveless T-Shirt (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=18231). Care to come and pick it up ? :P

I don't think i looted anything special off anyone last night.

Spent most of the evening on my own goign round contesting gravyards and being annoying.

Was happy when Sildara came to get me at the southern GY...but then i noticed her 5 friends and was less happy :(
