Ok i hate being sick, i have played through almost every Singleplayer game I own to pass the time stuck around the house unable to go out.

Lemme tell you, if i end up talking to one of those vortigaunts again..I am going to kill Alyx! :P hur hur

So this here really is to save myself resubbing poags account :P

I have assassin's creed still to finish...but the game bugs me along the way and i can only play it for a bit at a time before i start getting irritated [me? irritatable? noooo :P heh]

So, I am looking for suggestions of games [preferably not to expensive ones] that are good time spinners.
I dont know how much time I will be at home, but when I am there i am shit tired normally :)

I am working on getting my office linked to home, but slow progress thus far :)

So any ideas would be fairly welcome to save me from zee boredem! :D

I was in the same position about a year ago, had no internet for a month and had to resort to playing single player games. I remember having loads of fun playing the original Farcry again, especially since modern rigs can easily play it now, and the game still looks awesome, especially with the added HDR lighting. Farcry is now available as a free download, though ad-supported. Other than that, I played lots of Medieval 2, which now has an expansion called Kingdoms, which will give you more than enough hours to spend, if you like this sort of game obviously, FEAR, FEAR: Extraction Point and FEAR: Persues Mandate should keep you interested if you like shooters, and are available in budget versions. Old but still awesome, Operation Flashpoint, you can pick it up for €15 with all the expansions for hours of realistic military simulation fun. Other than that, I don't rightly know where your interests lay, so I may be of more help to you if you give us some more information about what you like, etc :P

I just installed UT3, botmatches offline are a decent time killer without the 12 year olds going nuts every time they get a headshot.

Failing that, Peggle damnit!

KOTOR2 was a big disappointment tbh.

Compared to KOTOR1, sure. That still puts it ahead of 95% of the shite games out there, and it's still an interesting RPG with a lot of replayability.

Guitar Hero III tbh.

Do what I did, buy the Xbox bundle, resell the CD, download the PC version, use the wireless receiver to pick up the guitar signal. Then play it for a day, after which, as it tends to do (because Microsoft STILL haven't fixed it), the wireless receiver will stop working indefinitely.

FEAR i own the series, i have great difficulty replaying games like FEAR Gears of War etc more than once.

But games like half-life i can replay a few times before i get bored for a few months, eg i played HL:EP2 through again last night in a couple of hours...although I still need to get the gnome from the shed to the missile without getting it blown up :s

Also played with Steam last night to get the overlay to work with WoW...so can steam chat from WoW....ive done it before but reinstalled my pc and forgot to do it this time :<

I have dark messiah might and magic, but I can never replay it as I always end up going the assassin route and knifeing people to death :P + i have played through all 4 endings already :(

I could break out I-War 2 again and play through that, not sure where my flight stick is tho :(

:-x Loved this game... until my necromancer couldn't do ranged attacks anymore due to some bug. Picture this: Big bad ass spider and you and your party go fight him. In order for your necromancer to cast magic missile (or whatever it was called) ... he first walks to melee range before casting. 1 hit, dead... :x

"Add non-Steam game..."

Then Browse to WoW.exe(Or the exe of another game) and add it. You can then go into its properties from Steam and rename if necessary.

You need to Browse, because the shortcut in the list points to "Launcher.exe", and Steam's a bit stupid and can't tell the difference, thusly it won't work on the game you launched from said Launcher.exe. :p

Previously I did this about 9 or so times and it worked those 9 or so start.

As soon as i rebooted it vanished from steam games list and from the shortcut bar.

So yep while its fairly simple initself...getting the fucking icon to stay was not!

Got it to stay again now tho :)

Oh, I know the problem ¬.¬

Closing Steam manually before rebooting seems to help somewhat, though, my shortcuts have vanished now regardless <o/

lol @ the screen shots

Damn I just bought Crysis, I dont really like Fps that much they are just too repetative but this seems to have a touch more invlovement than just getting a sore finger spamming fire.

They had U.T.3 in Game, that's probably next on the list for me

Hah, tbh, the only thing you can basically do when ill is burn time. WoW is the ultimate time burner. I see no problem. Incedently, your shaman looks almost identical to my Draenei warrior. Only the hair colour is slightly different. Amusing.

Vampire TM: Bloodlines

Decent spiritual successor to the likes of Deus Ex, if you can stomach the emo larp vampire setting. One playthrough as a malkavian is mandatory (malkavians are insane, and all your conversation options reflect this).
And yeah, it's on steam.

Another steam goodie is Jade Empire, although the combat is somewhat simplistic. The story and setting are great however.

Clearly, Malkavian is the only way to go. There's nothing better than to be able to talk to the man in the TV, or use Dementation spells like Berserk.

Why are Escortgirl, Hawtelf, Upthechuff and Louis censored from that screenshot? :(

If you haven't already, play through the entire Soul Reaver campaign, it will probably be hard to find Soul Reaver 1, but the storyline is definately worth it, and a good game altogether.

Indeed SR is probably one of the best SP games I have played :) I havn't played the Kane spin off series tho, might try those soon, as I started with SR2 i missed alot of the plot carried about time traveling :(

As for the blocked off chars, they are my private chars :) there are 3 public chars where people can find me most often...Poag Pogil and Oena, there are 3 chars I go on just to bugger about away from all guild/alliances just to gank horde/alliance with :)

SR was the spin off of Kain. Legacy of Kain: Defiance (containing both as playable characters) is by far the greatest of them all.

I can haz weekie? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legacy_of_Kain)

It's hard to believe one team departure can kill off a franchise however important but stranger things have happened.

Shame, quite possibly one of my favourite series of games of all time.

Probably too late now but I'd recommend a PC game called The Movies. Kind of like the Sims but with movie actors instead. You can build and develop your own kind of Universal Studios and create films with the actors you hire. Great time killer, and darn fun.
