I am currently awaiting the linux binaries befor eI get my servers running, i'll post some info when theya re up :)

Not heard anything about this, this is the team based half life game right?

Ill have a look on steam later and try and get on, been wanting a new FPS to play, was considering re-installing Call of duty 1 lol!

In due time when it's gone retail and bugged out. Ground the original TFC to dust back in the day :P

Playing betas is like standing in line 6 hours for LOTR movie tickets to me, I just don't get it.

Playing betas is like standing in line 6 hours for LOTR movie tickets to me, I just don't get it.

Its actually a highly polished beta. People have had some problems launching the game, but none myself...having great fun playing the small number of maps currently available!

Not had a single problem myself either and short of some class balance tweaks that might arise from community crying, this "beta" is pretty much what we will see for the full release unless they have been keeping secret (and denying) any extra maps.

Bit late on the bandwagon, got the Orange boxed set off steam and am eagerly awaiting the TF2 Beta to download. A couple of friends came round last night (who are already hooked) and showed me the Media clips for the game on steam. I have to say this looks like the freshest take on a team based FPS this side of '07, you guys got any major bug issues to report from this Beta?

Pyros need to be taken out back and shot repeatedly.

Aside that I have not hit upon any bugs with TF2 yet.

Well after just wanting to sit down and set up the controls and gfx settings I was on it until 3am, the best game I have played in ages. Sadly for me though I seem to be best at a class that isnt hard to master sniper.

I have severe dislike of anything spy shaped, and also the scouts are nigh on impossible to kill as a sniper when they get in battin' range!

Will try and drop onto your server later on Poag

Well, I play this game now. I love it, it's highly addictive and well worth playing, and isn't so addictive that you feel you always want to log onto it, just when you get on it, you can't stop!

Snipers are zebeste. <3 getting headshots on heavys that are slaughtering people. And by the way, just switch gun when you see a scout and run away firing, their shotguns are close range and your little uzi type thing slaughters them at mid range (idiots never really jump at you as their reload is bullet by bullet!)
