UnitedHorde beats the dragon

This might not be as exciting as the other threads with BWL, outdoor raid dragons etc but I'm very happy today.

UnitedHorde with Dark Sun and FADER downed Onyxia post-patch now.
It took some time but given that we have had a lack of members with the key we haven't been able to do many runs with a raid full of needed key classes but today we got her on the third attempt.

And while we're on the topic, Lour good friend and one of the Dark Sun MTs got the foror compendium last week, just in time for tonights kill which means he is now sporting a brand new Quel'Serrar. Congratulations mate.

He also got the head of onyxia for the trinket since both myself and Elvira (who was the only other 2 warriors in the raid) allready have it.

The loot (besides the head and the scales from skinning ofc) was:

No mature black dragon sinew this time which was a shame but you can't win them all.

And again, while we're at it.
Sildiara got the final peice of his Giantstalker set earlier today from our MC run, just as Elvira and Larand finished their Might and Nightslayer set last week.

Very nice (especially since I don't havwe to compete with Elvira for might anymore ;) ).

Actually I think Ziroline was dissapointed that there was no Mature Black Dragon Sinew since I know alot of us hope for one so Sildiara could complete the quest and get the Rhok'delar since he is done with the demons and have the mature blue dragon sinew as well. :)

Onyxia is one of my favoruite fights actually. Different phases, spawn adds, fear tactics etc etc.

Kazzak is just plain and simple all-in DPS, Azuregos is "just" long and boring.

Onyxia on the other hand is just up my alley, for now. :)

Yup I agree. Even though Onyxia tends to get easy once you've done her (doing a lady dragon, bah) a gazillion times it is still cool to see her flying, landing, it never feels that long while it IS a pretty long fight. They really made a great fight out of it. Hope we will get more stuff like that.

I think you will enjoy BWL a lot once you get past the horrible Razorgore fight (its different which is good i guess ;). I felt the same for vael was a totally amazing fight all round and a lot different to most encounters in game.

Though doing ony a lot i can say she doesn't like to drop that Mature Black Dragon Sinew that much. She much prefers dropping warlock loot once all the warlocks already have it (sorry i just have to have another dig at those locks! :p)

Yeah we finally took the old biatch down again. We used to bring her down pretty easily, but since they changed her in whatever patch it was, and we lost one guild in United Horde, we've had a bit of trouble with both her hew behaviour and getting new people in the main positions.

Big way-to-go to elvira for the tanking, larand for the rogue-claims-aggro move and everyone else who's been there over the random wipes, yesterdays nyxiekill was built on a lot of effort :)

I didn't get the sinew, but I got my new stylish shoulders earlier in the evening, so it was all good anyway. :)
